Good evening. Been a wrestling fan since 96. Ultimate love is the winged eagle due to Shawn and Bret's rivalry. I am extremely ignorant to the belt world and would love to pick up a WE but am very afraid as it seems the belt market is more flooded than ever with shady sellers and funky bootleggers.
I'm not sure if this is allowed on my first post, but I got a big eagle about 10 years ago. It is probably my 2nd favorite belt of all time. It is pretty darn heavy and the person that I purchased it from said it was releathered, but again, I have not clue. As I am starting to read more and more about belts and differences between them, I have questions on the origin of the belt, maybe who made it, and any other info you all could tell me. Bootleg, replica, etc...
Thank you so much for your time and I can't wait to get into more discussions with y'all!!!

Couple more of the leather. The belt itself is pretty floppy, not stiff like some I've seen at live events. Im not sure if that makes a difference.

It's not releathered.
It's a "deluxe" model which was $100 more at the time, and featured a "leather" strap but it was more like a leatherette shell over the same core of cardboard and foam.
Because it's WWF and "deluxe" it's rarer and slightly more valuable than a normal one.

Thanks Dan! I always wondered if I got a bootleg or in fact it was an actual replica. Do you know if the deluxe model came with a bag or do they even make certificates for them?

Most came with a bag and certificate from Figures Toy Company. I believe only the deluxe and later ultimate and master series came with COA.
